About Cindy Hart

 I graduated high school from St. Martin's Academy in Rapid City, SD in 1980. I attended Yankton College in Yankton, SD and graduated in with a Bachelor of Art degree in Physical Education and Health with coaching endorsement. Upon graduation, I was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves. I served for 10 years.  My first teaching job was at Dozier Middle School in Newport News, VA and I taught there for 6 years. Then I taught at Pearl Harbor Kia Elementary School in Hawaii for 4 years. I was the parent facilitator organizing literacy events for school and community. Returned to Dozier Middle School for 1 year. I taught at St. John's Episcopal School in Oklahoma City for 2 years. While teaching at St. John's, I attended UCO, Edmond and received my Master's degree in Special Education.  I starting teaching in the Harrah School District in 2000. I taught Special Education at Russell Babb Elementary for 6 years. I moved to the middle school in 2006 where I am currently teaching Special Education.

     I married my husband, Jerry, in 1986. Jerry passed away in 2003.  We have two children Eric and Nolen. They both graduated from Noble High School. Eric is serving in the US Air Force and Nolan served in the US Army and was recently honorable discharged. I have an adopted daughter, Savannah, who will be a sophomore at Harrah High School. 

    When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, swimming, gardening, anything outdoors,  watching OU football (Go Sooners!!) and Thunder Basketball. (Go Thunder!!)
